The CEIC and City’s Office of Neighborhood Involvement are partnering to set up a Business Watch Program in the Central Eastside. Like a neighborhood watch but for commercial areas, the Business Watch “increases livability by reducing crime and the fear of crime and promoting positive communication and relationships within an area.” For more information on this program, you can go to the City’s site here. To make our businesses watches effective, we need to sign up and train as many district businesses as possible.
